Bitcoin Center NYC’s Founder Nick Spanos is continuing his Middle East tour with appearances at several universities, including “Saudi Arabia’s MIT,” the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, where Nick met with faculty and students at the entrepreneurship and innovation center, and discussed his experiences with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency over the past few years.
Nick has also visited various tech incubators, such as White Space in Jeddah, and 67 | 22. He met with the bright minds that are building the next generation of technologies for the oil sector, as well as the country in general. Nick also met with Saudi finance professionals and oil industry executives at the 67 | 22 Coworking Space in Riyadh.
On Tuesday, 4/24/2018, Nick spoke at Decoding Blockchain, the first ever Blockchain event in Saudi Arabia’s history – keep an eye out for photos and more developments from Nick’s talk and the conference in general.
Nick will also be meeting with Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s national oil company, to discuss potential blockchain solutions for the energy industry. Aramco, has been exploring the use blockchain technology, and we are thrilled to be meeting with them to discuss the topic.
Nick and the team will also be visiting two additional universities: Taibah University in Madinah as well as the University of Prince Murqin (UPM) to educate more of the top students of the country. Look out for more news from those visits and bringing blockchain to Saudi!
